Clock in with your phone using an NFC tag

Want your team to start and end their shift at the door or on-site, without a dedicated device? One NFC tag placed in the office is enough.

How it works:

  • Tap at the door – place the tag at the entrance or in a specific room. Employees log their time by tapping their phone against it.
  • One tag for everyone – the Calamari app identifies each person by the account signed in on their phone, so you don't need a tag per employee.
  • One tap does more than clock in – the first tap starts the clock. Tapping again during work lets you clock out, start a break or switch project.

Admins set up NFC tags from the mobile app: in the clock-in methods view, choose "Office NFC," scan the tag, give it a name (for example "shop" or "warehouse"), and optionally assign a default project. A tag can be open to the whole company or to selected people.

The only cost is the tag itself, a few dollars for a sticker, with no dedicated device to buy.
