Forecast Austria January 2025

There is a new forecast toll update available for Austria. This update contains projected tolls calculated based on previous years tolls. Tariffs will be valid from 01.01.2025. Just set the start date of the route to 2025.

Yesterday we released some new features, further improvements and bug fixes. Check what's new in Map&Guide - The next generation:

Save and load routes

Route can now be saved and loaded in a simple way. We will extend this functionally more in the future.

Save important user settings

We are now saving the following settings for easier handling:

• the last selected routing type
• the last selected vehicle with its assigned cost profile
• the last map view

Save electronic vehicles

Electronic vehicles can now be saved as own vehicles for easier access to these vehicles

Avoid countries

It's now possible to avoid countries for route planning. Just set the according route option.

Hazardous goods

Hazardous goods and tunnel restriction codes can now be taken into account by assigning stops accordingly.

Bugfixes

As always we also fixed some minor bugs in the background.

Shortcuts for calculating a route

Routes now can be calculated by pressing F9 or CMD/CTRL + Enter

Favorite lists for vehicles

Vehicles can be assigned as favorites to improve usability.

Display and copy coordinates

Coordinates of stops are shown in stop details and can be copied to the clipboard.

Improved GLEC report

The GLEC PDF report has been improved to follow international guidelines

Add ferrries to the stop list

Ferries can now be added to the stop list. Just click in the map and hit the "Ferry" button.

New map layer management

Switch on/off Low Emissions Zones, Truck Restriction Zones, Traffic Incidents and Toll Roads. Additionally the map style can be changed, incl. satellite view.

Electric vehicles

Routes can now be calculated based on electric vehicles. Costs, energy consumption, emissions and remaining battery state are indicated, as well as a gradient color depending on the remaining battery state.

Result export per country

Results are now also exported by country.

​Great Britain May 2024

Southampton City Council, Midland Expressway Limited, TT2 Limited, Merseytravel:

This scenario includes the latest tariffs from May 2024. New tariffs for Itchen Bridge, M6, Mersey Tunnels, Tyne Tunnel. It replaces the previous scenario “Great Britain January 2024 v2”.

Calculation type: Fixed cost.

Austria March 2024

ASFINAG:

This scenario contains new sections of S07.

It replaces the previous scenario 'Austria January 2024 v3'.

Calculation method: Exact.

Italy May 2024

Autostrade per l'Italia:

New tariffs valid from 04.05.2024.
This scenario replaces the previous 'Italy July 2023' scenario.
Type of calculation: Exact.

Belgium July 2024

Viapass:

This scenario includes the toll charges for trucks from a maximum authorised mass over 3.5 t in the three Belgian regions: Wallonia, Flanders and Brussels. New toll rates valid from 1st July, 2024 for all trucks in Flanders and Brussels. Motorways, other main roads and the local road network in Brussels are subject to tolls. Toll charges are calculated based on kilometre factors and depend on road type and further depend on the emission class and total weight of the vehicle.

This scenario replaces the previous 'Belgium January 2024 v2' scenario.

Type of calculation: By approximation with an average factor per kilometer.

​Andorra January 2024

Tunnel d'Envalira:

This scenario contains the most recent tariffs, valid from January 2024.

New tariffs for Tunnel d 'Envalira. This scenario replaces the previous 'Andorra January 2023' scenario.

Type of calculation: Exact.

Denmark January 2024

A/S Storebælt, Øresundsbron:

New tariffs for Storebælt Bridge, Øresund Bridge 2024.

This scenario replaces the previous scenario 'Denmark January 2023'.

New Features and Improvements

Olympic Games 2024

To take Olympic Games restrictions into account, activate the according route setting.

The Olympic Games 2024 take place from Fri, Jul 26, 2024 until Sun, Aug 11, 2024. The restrictions are valid from Mon, Jul 1 until Sun, Sep 15, 2024.

CSV-Import

It's now easily possible to import stop-off points from PTV Map&Guide internet either by drag&drop or by uploading and import file from your computer. Please check also our documentation for more information.

Improved route options

The route options for loading and driving and rest times have been extended with more possibilities

Switch to vehicle details

It's now much easier to switch to a specific vehicle profile. Just hover over a vehicle profile in the vehicles dropdown and click the details icon.

Bugfixes

• The user interface is cleaned up for time slots field
• It's not possible anymore to just enter one time slot field
• Some spelling mistakes
• Cost profile updates with linked vehicle profiles optimized

Hi there,

we have released some new features and improvements:

Compare routes

The new feature compare routes is now available. This feature allows an user to compare two routes that are based on different routing parameters, e.g. calculation modes, vehicle profiles, cost settings, number of stops etc. The impact of different routing parameters can be easily compared and analyzed in the result panel. Cost differences become visible at a glance.

Improved map zoom

From now on, it is possible to use the user location as default map zoom. If this is not wanted, the initial map zoom will be set to Europe.

Improved GLEC calculation

We will display emission KPIs according to the GLEC framework: Waypoint marker icons that are used in the map for stops are now also used for the result table to have a better alignment of single emissions to the legs.

Special toll calculation per country

The presentation of special toll sections in the result panel has been improved.

Improved stop handling

A center-map button for stops is available. By clicking the button the stop is centered in the map.

An online-help is now available and can be accessed by a button in the application header
