ClearView Pivot Product Update - Testcards

Hello everyone — we've rebuilt how testcards work in Pivot, added a full suite of immersive audio testcards, unlocked 12-bit output testcards, and made it possible to simultaneously view the stream as a local output while sending to receiving Pivot boxes.

Brand new testcard interface. Testcards have moved out of the Input Configuration dropdown — which now simply holds your Decklink link options. In their place is a single Use Testcard toggle.

  • Enabling this allows users to select a testcard pattern. Most of the variance in these patterns are audio related options (Focusing mostly on differing channel layouts).
  • Users can choose where the testcard's format comes from: reflect the last known device input on the selected device, or use the machine default.

A suite of audio testcards are now available.

  • Stereo
  • Film 5.1, 7.1, 7.1.2, 7.1.4
  • SMPTE 5.1, 7.1, 7.1.2, 7.1.4, 9.1.6
  • In order for these to become available, the Pivot must have the audio channels set to be 8 or 16 (Channel counts are not shown if they're not configured for a higher number).

Users can now run 12-bit testcards, previously not possible.

  • This means all valid video formats available to the Decklink can now be replicated via the testcard.

Once a user's updated container lands, they'll be able to output from their Pivotbox simultaneously while on a call. The "Output from this Pivotbox" button (bottom-left of your call view) is no longer greyed out while a stream is running — so users can stream to external Pivots and view their stream as a local output at the same time.
