View and approve timesheets right from the checklist report

Logan avatar
Shared by Logan • July 21, 2026

Time logged against a checklist now shows up inside the completed report, and you can approve it without switching screens.

Open any completed Result and you'll see a new Timesheet entries button in the top left, next to Download PDF and Show Map. It opens the time logged against that checklist (date, description, type, user, and duration) with each entry's approval status. If you have Timesheets: Administrate, you can review and approve entries right there, so a supervisor closing out a morning inspection can sign off the hours in the same view they used to check the work.

It's the same approval you'd run from the central Timesheets page, just closer to where the work actually gets reviewed. Approve an entry from the report and it reads as approved everywhere it appears.

New: Handover Notes for RideOps

Logan avatar
Shared by Logan • July 07, 2026

Handover notes let you push critical, time-bound information to RideOps operators and require them to acknowledge it before they can operate the ride.

Create a note from the Mobaro Backend and check Require operators to acknowledge this note. While it's unacknowledged, the Location is held Not ready for operation, alongside any other gating condition like an outstanding CFO Checklist.

Acknowledgement is per operator, so a new operator signing in at shift change sees the same note again, even if the previous operator already cleared it. Every creation and acknowledgement is logged with the operator and a timestamp, so you get a defensible record that everyone who ran the ride saw the information first.

This covers RideOps today. The same acknowledgement enforcement for Checklists and triggers is on the roadmap.

Handover notes are early access. If you'd like it turned on for your organization, reach out to your Mobaro contact.

You can now control assignment creation per downtime template

Shared by Logan • January 16, 2026

What’s new

Downtime templates now include an assignment creation policy so you can decide per template whether starting downtime should automatically create an assignment.

Assignment creation policy options

In Assignment configuration, you can choose:

  • Inherit — uses the policy from Downtime Settings
  • Create — creates an assignment when downtime starts (blocking downtime)
  • Do not create — no assignment is created (non-blocking downtime)

When to use it

  • Use Create for critical downtime that should generate tracked work and notifications
  • Use Do not create for informational downtime you don’t want to trigger assignments
  • Use Inherit to keep templates aligned with your global default

Quick setup

  1. Open a Downtime template
  2. Go to Assignment configuration
  3. Pick an assignment creation policy
  4. If you choose Create, fill in the assignment details (definition, assignee, etc.)
  5. Click Ok

Add operating hours to locations

Logan avatar
Shared by Logan • October 07, 2025

Hi there,

You can now assign operating hours to any location in Mobaro!

By linking a calendar and time zone, Mobaro will automatically calculate downtime and uptime only within those defined hours — giving you a more accurate view of actual operational performance.

Highlights:

  • Add a calendar and time zone directly from the Location editor.
  • Downtime and uptime metrics now respect your defined open hours.
  • Multi-day downtimes are broken into daily segments based on each day’s operating hours.
  • Downtime calculations update when a downtime is closed, so durations outside your operating window won’t be counted.

Example: A downtime from 4–8 PM will only count 2 hours if your operating hours end at 6 PM.

This feature helps ensure after-hours closures or maintenance don’t inflate your downtime totals, making reports and dashboards more accurate across all parks and regions.

Competencies

Peer assessments for certifications

Logan avatar
Shared by Logan • July 22, 2025

Hi there,

You can now assign peer assessments as part of your Certification Processes!

Instead of relying solely on self-assessments, this update allows designated assessors—like supervisors, leads, or trainers—to complete certifications on behalf of others. Perfect for observational reviews, hands-on evaluations, or structured sign-offs.

Use cases include:

  • Supervisor sign-off after shadowing
  • Practical ride/operator evaluations
  • Food safety or maintenance walkthroughs

Want a tiered approach? You can chain certifications together using awarded competencies—start with self-assessment, then unlock a peer sign-off (or vice versa).

Once enabled, assessors will find these under “Assess others” in the mobile app's Certification Center.

New! QR Codes Now Deep Link into the Mobaro App

Logan avatar
Shared by Logan • April 10, 2025

Hi there,
We're excited to introduce an upgrade to our Location QR codes! With our latest update, any newly created and exported Location QR code will now deep link directly into the Mobaro mobile app. This means that scanning the QR code with your device’s default camera app will instantly open the Mobaro app and display the Location Overview for the corresponding location — no extra steps required.

What’s New?

  • Deep linking support for new Location QR codes.
  • Works seamlessly with your device's default camera scanner.
  • Instantly opens the correct Location Overview in the Mobaro app.

How It Works

  • Navigate to the Locations section in Mobaro.
  • Export a new QR code for a location.
  • Print or share the code as needed.
  • When scanned using a mobile device's camera, it will open Mobaro and take the user straight to the Location Overview screen for that specific location.

⚠️ Important Note:
Only newly created and exported Location QR codes support deep linking.
Previously generated QR codes will not deep link into the app when scanned outside of Mobaro.

Backwards Compatibility:
Existing QR codes are still supported within the Mobaro mobile app and will function as expected when scanned using the in-app scanner.

Site-Level Admins & Enhanced User Group Management

Logan avatar
Shared by Logan • February 24, 2025

Hi there,

We’re introducing site-level admins with a robust set of permissions to manage user groups more effectively. Here’s a quick look at what they can do:

  • Manage user groups: Create, edit, or delete everything related to user groups.
  • Oversee members: View, modify, and disable (not delete) users in a group.
  • Refined membership: Administrators won’t automatically be group members, but they can still remove users from groups—or add them, if they have the right permissions.
  • Controlled adding: Admins with the “View Users” permission can add anyone. Those without can only add themselves or users they’ve created.

Why this matters

  • Keep user group roles clear and manageable.
  • Ensure the right people have the right level of access.
