The new timesheet view is a clean calendar - designed so everyone can independently verify their logged hours and instantly see what needs attention.

Automatic time tracking based on location

Forgetting to clock in or out is the most common cause of timesheet gaps. That's why we've added automatic time tracking based on GPS and geofencing.

Just enable the feature in the app, and the system will automatically log clock-ins when an employee enters the office zone and clock-outs when they leave. No tapping, no remembering, no gaps.

What you gain:

  • Automatic clock in/clock out – the app logs work time when employees enter and leave the office zone
  • Full employee control – each person decides whether to enable automatic tracking
  • Smart operation – the system respects work schedules and won't log time outside working hours
  • Precise location data – history of entries and exits with accurate timestamps for admin review

The feature requires location permissions set to "always" and access to precise location. The app must be active (logged-in user, permissions granted).

Improved Reports Filters

Get ready for even faster reporting experience! Based on your feedback, we’ve rolled out an update to our reports, to make finding the data you need simpler and more intuitive.

What’s new?

  • Simplified Filters: The most-used filters are front and center, with advanced options neatly organized inside the filter menu.
  • Separate Grouping: The "Group by" function is now separate from the filters. Adjust your filters without losing your preferred data grouping (e.g., by absence type or employee).
  • New Filter Option: Filter leave requests by their creation date, in addition to the approval date. This is perfect for auditing and tracking request submission patterns.

These changes are live in your account now. Head over to the Reports tab to see how much easier it is to get the insights you need.

Download Reports Directly from the People View

Here is a small but powerful update to make your reporting even faster. You can now download custom employee reports directly from the People view in the Configuration.

How it works:

To download a report, simply use one of your saved views. The process is straightforward:

  1. Create and save a view (if you don't have one yet): Set up your desired columns and filters, then save your custom view.
  2. Select your view from the list: Expand the dropdown list in the top-right corner and choose the saved view you want to download.
  3. Download with one click: Click the new download icon that appears next to the view's name to instantly generate your report.

This means all your most-used, saved views are now ready to be downloaded as reports—without extra steps or switching sections.

Time Clock Rounding Now Available in Your Configuration

Time Clock Rounding has moved from beta to full availability. Time & Attendance module users can now configure this feature directly in their configuration panel.

The feature eliminates minute-by-minute discrepancies in time records and automatically streamlines payroll calculations. You can choose between two rounding methods or use both together.

Rounding to Work Schedule works for companies with fixed schedules. Set clock-in buffers, lateness tolerance, and clock-out parameters according to your company policy.

Rounding to Time Intervals suits companies with flexible schedules. Choose intervals of 5, 10, 15 or more minutes and set rounding direction (nearest, up, down)

Both methods ensure payroll consistency with timesheets and maintain compliance with labor laws.

Integrations

Absences and worklogs sync between Jira & Calamari

If your team uses both Calamari for time tracking and Jira for project management, you can take advantage of automatic synchronization to eliminate double data entry.

The integration runs on an AWS Lambda script that periodically synchronizes data between the two systems. It audits and updates information for the current month while leaving historical records unchanged.

How does it work in practice?

  • For absence management: When an employee's leave is approved in Calamari, a corresponding entry automatically appears in Jira as a worklog.
  • For time tracking: Hours logged in Jira are automatically sent to Calamari as time entries. Your developers log time on their tasks in Jira, and you get the full picture in Calamari.

Core HR view templates

Thanks to the new view templates feature, you can instantly find the information you need directly in the People tab.

Freely configure the view by selecting only the columns you need (including Custom fields). Use filters to narrow down the list, and then save the entire template for quick access in the future.

For example, create a "B2B Contractors," "Expiring Safety Trainings," or "Upcoming Anniversaries" view without needing to generate reports.

The feature is available for all users whose organization has an active Core HR module.

1. Microsoft Teams dashboard with language support

The dashboard in Microsoft Teams is now available in seven languages: Polish, English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese (Brazil). If your language in MS Teams is set to one of these, the dashboard will adapt automatically. This is especially useful for international teams!

2. Substitute's details in the Outlook autoresponder

People emailing you during your time off will immediately know who to contact in an emergency. When you request leave and choose a substitute, the Outlook autoresponder will automatically add their contact details to your out-of-office message.
